This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 48:29
During the expansion of the United States, the government treated the Native American Indians harshly. They forced the Native Americans to migrate out of the South so they could grow their plantations to make cotton, tobacco and other products. The government made promises to the Native Americans that they would give them new land and then the government would end up finding value in that land to once again forcing the Native Americans to migrate to another land. There were continued broken promises after promises as the United States expanded southward and then westward.
The Trail of Tears is a name given to the forced relocation and movement of Native American nations from southeastern parts of the United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. The removal included many members of the Cherokee, Muscogee, Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw nations, from their homelands to new Indian Territory in Oklahoma. The phrase originated from a description of the removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. Many Native Americans suffered from exposure, disease and starvation en route to their destinations and many died as a result of the migration.
When God makes a promise, it's a promise that can be counted on forever. There are some things that God cannot do and one of them is lie. He is a consistent, trustworthy, reliable and dependable God. He made a promise to the Israelites that they would inherit their land and they did get their land. God also made a promise that whosoever will trust in Him, believe in the Lord Jesus and believe that Jesus was raised from the dead died for their sins will also inherit Heaven. Where is your future land going to be? Will it be Heaven?
Claim God's promise of a place in Heaven for you.
