Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
Jeremiah 1:5
God knew us before we were even brought into this world. The foundation of our life started in the womb where God said that He knew us before we even came out.
I remember when my wife was pregnant and feeling the kick of our daughter or son. We would talk to them every now and then. I was starting to train them that Daddy was their favorite. Now that the kids are in high school I still know them. They may be thinking that they are getting away with something, but my keen parental ability hones in on everything, especially on April Fools day. I have to watch them like a hawk while I'm scheming a cool trick to get them with.
God knew us while we were a baby, God knew us as a teen, God knew us as a young adult, God knows us now and He knows us in the future. One of these days when we meet the Lord in Heaven, we'll get to reflect back on our life on earth and in those moments our eyes will really be opened. We'll say, "Wow, you really did know me Lord"!

God knows us. Open your eyes this new year and recognize that the Lord is with us always.
